As the name implies, the Superior Shores Resort And Spa was established on the Atlantic shoreline area with waves lapping at its sugar-sand beach on one side and the Halifax River, teeming with sea-life on the other. It is relaxing and quiet inside, and its focus inevitably turns toward all the natural beauties of the sky and sea.
People have praised the Shores Resort and Spa due to the type of customer services they offer and its unbeatable position between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway. In the guest rooms and suites, blue and yellow color palette decoration is used to beautify the room, Italian marble showers, flat-screen TVs, and also high-speed internet access (covered by your daily resort fee) are all available in the place to keep the guest comfortable.
But most of the features in the Shores Resort & Spa is located outside. They also make provisions for a heated saltwater pool where you can dive in whenever you are cold. Afterward, you may decide to grab a bite at Azure, a well-decorated open-air restaurant that serves upscale coastal fare right in front of the beach.
Location
The Shores Resort & Spa is positioned on the main strip of Atlantic Avenue seven miles from Daytona Beach Airport. Visitors that are less fitted engage themselves in tasty samples during Angell and Phelps’ free chocolate factory tours that are three miles away. It takes about 76 miles to travel from Orlando International Airport to the hotel.
The rooms
In case you want to enjoy every bit of your stay, the hotel provides comfortable rooms with lush pillow-top beds dressed in crisp white duvets and sheer bed curtains that mimic a gentle sea-spray. Also, there are mini fridges put in each room to comfort the visitors who may want something chilled, and Italian marble showers that add a touch of elegance to large bathrooms. The first-floor rooms are furnished with a private lanai (porch), while the uppermost floor is equipped with a balcony.
Food and Drink
In Azure Oceanfront, sea-inspired cuisine is served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it also features seafood paella for two, jumbo shrimp, scallops, and snow crab. For a sultry start of your day, you can pair the crab cake Benedict with a pitcher of mimosa at breakfast. There is also a thatch-roofed Bar that offers foods like shrimp cocktail, scampi mussels, pizza, and roasted garlic hummus. After sunset, Oceanview Lounge is the best place to stay for cocktails both for pre- and post-dinner.
Despite all the beautiful and attractive facilities in the room, some new guests described the room as being out of date and need an upgrade to increase its attraction. However, many agree that if you choose this resort, you must spring for an Oceanview room because you will not regret the splurge, especially during sunset.
